2023 Updates

We welcomed home two families in 2023, along with hiring a new Executive Director

Modular in Piffard

We completed our 24th home in Piffard! We gathered with community partners and volunteers to welcome the Bigelow family into this 3-bedroom, 2-bath, modular home. This was our first modular build in Livingston County, as we’ve continued to explore options that will allow us to build more efficiently and affordably - saving time, labor, and costs in this challenging market.

Geneseo Rehab

Habitat for Humanity in Livingston County had an opportunity to rehabilitate an existing home through our partnership with the Livingston County Land Bank. They provided financial assistance for volunteers to rehab a single-family, 3-bedroom, 3-bath home in Geneseo. Welcome In August, we welcomed the Loncao family into their new home; our 23rd!

Habitat Welcomes a new Executive Director!

We have hired a new Executive Director, Tamatha Arneth. She will work closely with the Habitat Board of Directors and lead our future mission and strategic efforts. We are excited to have Tammy on board, her extensive expertise in non-profit development combined with her passion for community engagement make her a perfect fit.

Tamatha has 20 years of experience in collaborative leadership and developmental experience in an executive position. Her expertise in community development will be instrumental in promoting our organization. Her strategic vision and ability to build strong partnerships and mobilize resources will allow our organization to expand its impact and make a lasting difference in the lives of community members.

Tamatha believes the work of Habitat is essential for creating stronger communities by helping families build and improve places to call home. She hopes to continue to work with Habitat’s Board, staff, and volunteers to make those dreams come true in Livingston County.

As always, if you’re looking to support, check out our ‘Get Involved’ or ‘Donate’ links to learn more. The number of homes that we are able to build each year depends on monetary donations, proceeds from current mortgages, and donation of building lots. Please reach out to us if you have any questions!
